The mission of the Planning and Economic Development Department is to serve the Hualapai people by developing the Tribe’s human, economic, and natural resources in ways that lead to greater self-suffiency while protecting the people’s unique heritage, culture, and environment. Add content.

  • Planning and Zoning (Zoning Ordinances, Homesite & Commercial Leases, Master Plan, etc.)
  • Community Building Projects (Boys & Girls Club, Head Start, Juvenile Detention Center, etc.) 
  • Renewable Energy & Environmental Protection Projects (GCW Solar Energy Project, Nelson Wind Farm, Grand Canyon Compost Toilets, etc.)
  • Community Communications (Gamyu, Tribal Web Site, Funeral Notices, etc.)
  • Grant Development 
  • Youth Recreation Program
